What this site is
The triangle scarf is simple to buy and oddly hard to wear well. Most of what ranks for it is shopping roundups and tying guides written for square scarves. We wanted one place that explains the shape itself: the kinds, the sizes, the fibers, how to tie it nine ways, how to wear it on your hair, and where to find good free patterns if you make your own.
How we choose
We have not tested these scarves. Nothing on this site claims hands-on testing, wear trials or scores of our own. Instead:
- Trend and brand notes cite the publication. When we say a scarf was worn or sold out, we link the coverage, such as The Zoe Report.
- Tying methods are drawn from published guides or labeled as general technique. Where a method comes from a maker, such as TBCo’s styling guide, we credit it.
- Care advice follows fiber bodies and makers. Wool care follows Woolmark; silk care follows silk makers, labeled as maker advice.
- Patterns are linked, never copied. We describe what a pattern is like and send you to the designer’s own page.
- No scores, star ratings, prices or product photos. Prices and stock change daily, so our shop buttons are searches that show current listings.
- Uncertain means we say so. Sizes are not standardized, so we give ranges and tell you to check the listing.
The illustrations
Every scarf drawing and tying diagram on this site is an original illustration of a style or technique, not a picture of a specific product.
How the site earns
Some links go to Amazon with our affiliate tag. If you buy, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That never decides what we suggest. Details are on the affiliate disclosure page.
Corrections
Brands change their ranges and patterns move. We review pages regularly and show when each was last reviewed.
